What we feed our dogs and puppies? We made the switch to Pure Balance lamb and brown rice recipe. Why did we choose pure balance? Veterinarians recommend a dog food that has grain for puppy heart development. There have been several tests done on numerous dogs from 2014 to 2019 and a staggering 90% of the dogs on a grain free diet had developed (DCM) dilated cardiomyopathy, a heart condition that decreases the heart’s ability to pump blood. To set up our puppies and continue our dogs good energetic health we choose to feed them pure balance which first ingredients are lamb, lamb meal, oatmeal and brown rice. We appreciate that it also includes sunflower oil and fish oil. Fish oil helps their heart health, promotes a silky coat, reduces itchy and flaky skin, and can help relieve allergies and joint pain. It also helps strengthen their immune system. Sunflower oil promotes energy, healthy immune function, heart health, and normal organ function.
